Default House Battery

Hi all I have a 2006 Great West Legend. In order to charge the house battery while driving should I place the DC switch in the on or off position. Thanks for all the good info on this site,

"on"

off disconnects or isolates the battery on "most vehicles"*

* some will allow power for alarm, radio memory or other use through a small gauge pigtail wire with a fuse- not common on the house)
