Default installing house battery

Just want to check on this: I'm installing a new house battery for the first time on a 2006 Roadtrek 190. Do I have to do anything to the electrical system to safeguard against burning something out when I connect the leads to the terminals? Is there a switch or a breaker I want to turn off first? Thanks!

Not much. No shore power, battery switch off before you disconnect the old battery so it will actually switch, no engine running.

This is assuming you have just one battery.
