It has a good floorplan as a runabout vehicle or taking the family for a day trip. It seems to me more of a day vehicle for taking the kids to a soccer game in a city a couple counties away.

Definitely has its uses. As for weaknesses, the lack of storage space coupled with the fact that there is less cubic feet available for use with the driver's side sliding door make this not something one would want to use for an extended trip. However, this floor plan does do its job well, and definitely beats trying to pack the same amount of people in a Suburban for a long drive.

One idea that might work would be this floor plan on the extended length Sprinter chassis. Everything would remain the same, but perhaps have a storage area between the bed and the rear doors, similar to the Airstream EXT. That would allow the seven people to also have a good amount of space for their gear as well, be it a soccer game, tennis, or proper Stihl cases for a chainsaw fencing tournament.
