We named our ‘98 Roadtrek Popiular Betty White. Because she’s white and she’s a golden girl.

Our upfitter kept pressuring us to name our new rig, but we just couldn't do it.

Every known pun containing the word "van" has been used to death (My complements to members of this list for not succumbing), as have all obvious literary references. I thought I had an original idea with "Sleeper Service" (one of the sentient spaceships in Iain Banks' "Culture" books). But then I discovered that even that has been taken.

So, we gave up. It's going to have to be "the van" again.

Default I call it …

I call our 2017 Nissan NV3500 conversion Moby.

As in “Moby Dick”, the great white whale.

Guess what color it is?

Call our rig "The Fort" as I commonly pretended the sheet used to create a private space as a kid.
