Default New Mexico Campgrounds

I asked this in another thread but I fear it might be hidden by the OP topic.

Does anyone have recommendations for campgrounds in western New Mexico?
Central or Northern. South is probably still too hot.

thx.glenn

Here's link to campgrounds on Cibola National Forest (Sandia Mtns, Zuni Mtns, Mt Taylor, etc.) Some CGs are closed or closing for winter soon, so I recommend call to Forest Service Ranger Station to confirm status. https://www.fs.usda.gov/activity/cib...64042&actid=29

I consider Rt 4 from Los Alamos to Jemez Springs to be one of the most beautiful drives in the world. There are two great National Forest campgrounds along the route.

There is a James Springs but that is east central NM
Yeah. Just caught and fixed that. Spell checker apparently doesn't speak Spanish...
