Default New van conversions by Gala RV

First impressions from the Montreal RV Show

Gala RV ( Gala RV - Manufacturier de Véhicules Récréatifs) a newcomer Class B upfitter is showing it's new ProMaster camper vans with impressive tank capacities:
Fresh 45 Gal/170 L (vertical tank inside the coach, behind the drivers seat)
Grey 45 Gal/170 L (see photo)
Black 18 Gal/68 L

Contemporary but tacky interior - Too much bling.

The unusual location of the bathroom sink (behind the drivers seat)

The huge 45 Gal Grey tank under the chassis

The unusual location of the electrical fuse panel accessible from outside when the van sliding door is open.

Unusual ideas. I actually like the location of that breaker panel - very nautical.

You either like the shiny look or you don't. I'm more impressed with the rounded corners and the trim treatments on the ceiling. High attention to detail.

Look at their website and pictures. They have some really good space utilization, including on the roof. Impressive tanks sizes for a van of this size - and some said it couldn't be done!

We'll be keeping an eye on these guys.

One of many trailer manufacturer rushing in the B market. The interesting thing in their builds is how they managed to have such big tank capacities on a 2500 Pro. Not sure what the OCCC is when full.

It's not a 3500? Not good.

Some on the PM forum are saying there is no differnce between the 2500 and 3500 - that all the suspension parts are identical. Not sure I buy all that.

Ooh! For my first post, I get to say something useful. On the Gala web site it says that the 1900 uses the Promaster 2500 and the 2100 uses the 3500.

Can anyone get the website to use English? There is an English button, but it doesn't work for me. I must say that I quite like it myself. Clean, rounded lines, good use of space... certainly looks classier than the RT SRT. I like that it doesn't have the power sofa, which I have never found appealing...

The only way I was able to see the site in English was to use Google Translate (https://translate.google.com). You type in the web address and it translates the text on the page. It won't change the graphics that have French in them, but it will give you a rough idea of what the vans are like.

Montecarlo from Gala RV

An interesting aspect of the layout is the Fresh 45 Gal/170 L tall and slim tank that is located in the wall cavity between the sink and the shower. It helps stabilizing the potential (375 lbs) weight of the water when the vehicle is in motion.

Info from an article in FQCC magazine (unfortunately only in french, and no pdf for grabbing the text)

Où irez-vous cet été ? | Camping Caravaning
I did some screen captures, with some specs.

From my Gala RV FB album I did 9 month ago, when the vehicle got unveiled, and completed with photos from the RV show in Montreal:

Text in red: The Fresh tank is positioned vertically in the wall adjacent to the bathroom, in front of the side (sliding) door.
