Default Newbie needs info please

I recently purchased a 1999 American Cruiser 2000 with 39,000 miles. The van has a factory installed window type air conditioner located on the drivers side of the van.
I am wondering if the ac will cool the van during the hot summer months. I live where the temps and humidity are high in the summer.
Any advice on these type units or circulations tips would be appreciated.

Thanks
Cruiser

There are some specifications listed here:
http://www.classbforum.com/phpBB2/vi...php?f=9&t=1380

and a photo of the type and location of the Air Conditioner for anyone unfamiliar with the unit here:
http://www.berrylandcampers.com/rvph...7/Image115.jpg

I'm not sure of the exact year of the specifications but it shows that the AC unit was 10,000 BTU.
Looks like replacing it with a newer more efficient model wouldn't be too difficult should the need arise.

Hopefully the American Cruiser owners on the forum will catch this post and reply.

Funny. We've driven by Berryland (actually I think they have multiple locations) on all our tours on I-10/I-12
down in Louisiana. I think they have a motorhome place on the Gulf side of the interstate, and a travel trailer
and 5th wheel place a bit further west. You can see them both from the freeway.
