Default Penguin II AC trouble

Hi
My Penguin II was working just fine. Now it's not!
It will turn on but there is only a quiet buzzing.
I have been up on the roof & if i spin the rod to the fan by hand it will start up & work properly.
After scouring Youtube it looks like the problem might be the S Capacitor 60/15 MFD &/or the S Hard start.
Does this sound about right?
Anyone know where i can get the parts quickly? (most online stores are saying out of stock or at least a week. I'm in SoCal AC is a must for me
Thanks

Sounds like the starting capacitor. Maybe the hard start too. If you have values most electronic stores have them.

Thanks. What do you mean by values? Is that the 60/15 MFD?

Yes. Those are the sizes of the cap.

An RV dealer may be a source for those, particularly if you're in a crunch.

I’ve called 4 so far. One told me an 11000 btu ac doesn’t exsist. The others say they would have to order, & see the Rv to make sure it’s right part.
You wouldn’t think it’d be this difficult to get a part!
Thanks for suggestion anyway

The only Penguin IIs I know of are 13,500BTU or 15,000BTU. A parts manual is probably available on line.

Model number and serial number locations are available by Google search. You may have to remove the shroud to read them.

I would get the part number and order through PPL but there are other vendors.

Default It is indeed a Penguin ll 11000 BTU

I've seen & photographed all labels. None give the name but after searching the SKU 9105305700 (thanks for that) it does indeed come up as a Penguin ll 11000BTU unit.

Big as life the search shows 11,000 BTU. If you look for Penquin IIs to buy it doesn’t show up, only the two larger ones. Maybe they made a small one for a class B on special order?

Anyhow, in your pictures should be a model number and serial number. See if we can get a parts manual.

No luck on a parts manual.

Thanks for your help. If nothing else at least I know I’m not crazy!
I’ve spent 2 days searching online & calling Rv centers looking for this bloody 60/15 capacitor only to be told the 11000 btu unit doesn’t exist I can find 60/12.5 & lots of others but no 60/15!!! So frustrating
I’m open to suggestions

Last resort would be the dometic support link as previously posted.

Thanks. I am currently trying their support if they ever come back off lunch!
They kindly provided me with a list of my local suppliers of which only 1 knew what i was talking about & they don't stock parts. 2 of the numbers are no longer in service.
I can't believe it's so difficult to get 1 little part. Welcome to the world of RV's i guess lol.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried 3 so far with no luck. It seems every other size is available but the one i need.
I have ordered from Dometic themselves.
I have to admit my surprise that the big RV sales & service depts have no knowledge of this. It makes me question what else they know should i encounter a bigger problem!
