Default Propane Tank Info

I'm new to this site so bear with me if this question has been thrashed out before. I have an older van conversion & would like to know how to find out what brand of propane tank is installed. Van is a 1985 Ford Econoline body & the conversion was by Fiesta.

I have never had a problem with the tanks before but after recently having the tank filled tonight the tank is leaking & I had to have the fire dept come out! ANY info would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Cactus.

Hopefully someone here will be able to get you the info you need.

Lot's of RV's use Manchester propane tanks:

and here's the results of an eBay search:

Current Roadtrek's & Pleasure-Way camper vans use a 10 US gallon / 45lb tanks. Yours will probably similar in size.

I think every tank I have seen has all info about it either imprinted (stamped) right on the tank or on a flat plate welded to the tank.
Sometimes they are hard to read because when they paint the tank with that thick enamel they go right over it.

Thanks for tthe comeback! the tanks are underneath the van - wherever they are they are hard to get to. The emergency propane serviceman checked everything & said to let it leak out, move the van to an open area. By this AM the gas has all leaked out & the tank & connections will be dealt with.
Doesn't it make all kinds of sense to put a plate with valuable info on it THEN paint over it? Where are peoples heads? And they vote!

I will keep track of this site, however; lots of info, & thanks again. I will jot down the name Manchester. Thx
