Default Regency Ultra toilet

We have just purchased a Regency Ultra Brougham Class B+ motorhome. My question is: should the toilet fill with water again after it’s flushed? Seems this is a waste of fresh water and the black water tank rapidly fills requiring more frequent dumps. I’m wondering if there is a setting somewhere that I can change such that the bowl doesn’t refill????

Any thoughts/ideas??? Thanks much

do you know that make/model of the toilet?

Mine requires manual water control, i leave some water in the bowl to preserve the seal.
if number 1 no change, flush and refill a bit

if #2, add more water so that less sticks to the bowl- if that is a problem I use the shower wand to rinse away

we rarely rarely use our toilet for solids ( and paper goes in a basket)

I agree with mk in the sense that we manually control the water in the bowl.

We, however, do use our toilet for all functions and do allow TP to flush down with the ...........well you know what.

Curiously in Peru, they always have a separate can for TP. It's never flushed except I believe in the most posh hotels where they macerate.

Default Toilet; black water tank

Thanks Mike - unfortunately ours doesn’t allow for manual refill or not. I’ll check to see make/model. The vehicle is a 2020 Regency Ultra Brougham.

when you push the button to flush, the toilet flushes and then automatically refills with water. In our Travato we had a foot pedal which allowed for flushing and putting water into the bowl. With the Regency we have a button on the sink cabinet that you push to flush.

Welcome to the forum PoohBear!

Sounds like a misguided setup favoring convenience over water conservation and user control. Also, how can you lower the water level for travel so nothing sloshes out on the road?

Since you rig is new, I'd suggest a call to Regency Customer Service. If you don't already have their phone number, might be a good time to get it and keep in touch since it's normal to have a few questions/problems in a new rv. That's what good customer service is for.

By the way, swanky rig you've got there. What floorplan did you get? Twin bed or Murphy bed?

Although the Regency is certainly a clone of the Leisure Travel Class C rigs... are you sure that they are using the same toilet to be able to use the LTV manual?

Thus the question mark?

Ought to be simple enough to see how it operates.

Thanks .... we got the twin bed set up and absolutely love it! We drove it from Texas to Georgia ——. Drives like a dream! No water slouches out at all; it amazing that it doesn’t though.

Will definitely phone Regency on Monday. Thanks again

Bud
So... are you confident that the two companies are using the same toilet? (the purpose of the question mark)

Or do you think that Regency and Leisure Travel are the same company?

Sorry mumkin, thought I had answered. No, I don't know what toilet is in either C rv, but reasonable chance that they are the same. And again, simple enough to read and operate ..............

Bud, don’t believe they are the same company but the toilet does appear to work the same. I tried what was reflected in the manual you sent and it works perfectly! Thanks again for your assistance ...... much appreciated!

Now Bud, please don't gloat. Well ok, I guess you're entitled to gloat a little bit.
