Default Roadtrek 200p Chevy owners Fuel Door

Hey guys

Can anyone who owns a chevy 200 popular (I assume versatile too) post up a picture of how your Fuel door is attached to the fiberglass body?

Ours came off last year without any trace of what what’s holding it on. It looks like it was possible riveted on?

I can see the threaded holes for the factory fuel door to attach on a chevy van but I could use some help here.

Thanks!

There's two rivets. See attached. Hope this helps.

This is exactly what I thought. The rivets just rotted out on our RT

This helps tremendously. They appear to be aluminum rivets and eventually corrode and fall apart

some rivets use a 'washer" on the backside to spread the force along a wider area.
what's the backside look like ?

The back from what I have look to be aircraft rivets, kinda knobby appearance. No washer at all.

Definitely a higher end rivet and application method, not a typical pop rivet.

Seeing RT loved to use rivets (the rivet everything on the outside lol) I’m not surprised at all

I used peel rivets when I replaced our 200's storage door hinges. Did not damage the fiberglass. https://www.mcmaster.com/rivets/high...oft-materials/
