Default Roadtrek 210 Mystery Leak

We have a 2007 Roadtrek 210. Recently, we had to park it on a hill in heavy rain and I found water around the water pump. I assumed it was from the pipes/pump but this is not the case. It appears to becoming from the area forward of the wheelwill. The wall area I could access was not wet. When the Roadtrek was back on the level in the rain, the water disappeared. I then decided to temporarily seal the covers for the fridge and park on the hill again. It still leaks. Any thoughts???

I'd check on a roadtrek specific website- for instance I know that my pleasure-way manual says not to park nose down in the wet.

maybe the RT has a similar requirement.

Were you nose up or nose down?

Nose up. I didn't want to create a pool of water in the air conditioner.

There have been people that have leaks as far forward as the roof windows or windshield that have found there way all the way to the middle of the van. The prime places would be the window frames, or possible even coming in the frig vents under the kitchen window. Any perforation in the roof can also make it down to the floor, where it will run a long ways depending on the slope

I sealed the fridge vents and the leak still occurred. I have checked the seal on the forward window but I will check again.

It may be better just to start spraying all the potential area one at a time, with it parked nose up, and see which one is putting in the water. A garden sprayer works very well for testing and getting water just where you want it.

You might want to check those outside roof lights, I had an '05 and had a leakage there.

Good points!!! When you had the leakage from the roof light, did the water end up back there? Thanks

Mine came out around the visor on the drivers side, the part that holds in to pivot; then it was along the rail above the drivers side. Then I developed wet spots along the liner all along the rail above the side door. Once water gets in, it has its way of going wherever, and we are scratching our heads for the starting point. I thought it was the windows, so I was sealing there....dah!
