Default RT 190 Seat covers

Like many of you, I suspect, my vinyl seats are peeling. I've looked at a lot of Forums and nobody really has a solution to this. The seats on the RT are not Chevy seats, they are RT seats and it's tough finding covers. Any ideas?? Thanx Dave W

I put Durafitcovers.com fabric seatcovers on my 2011 C210P. They fit well but only have 1 armrest cutout. So I just removed the outside armrests on each. Nice fabric that seems to be equivalent to OEM.

I had the exact same situation - want to protect the seats. I ended up buying a set of Dickies Leatherette covers from Walmart. They do not fit perfectly and are not great quality - but will serve their purpose for now.

Will give those folks a try, I have a RT 190, 2012, but the seats are likely the same. Dave W

If your seats are like ours in our 2010 (2009 chassis) RT 190P, they are indeed Chevy seats but with RT seat covers. There is (was) an option on the Chevy Express vans for "high-topped" seats.

Just be aware that the RT seats have 2 armrests where the factory seats and most aftermarket seat covers have only 1 armrest.
The second armrest is easily removed if desired. I removed the outside armrests on both seats rather than cut the seat cover. If you push on the seat fabric around the pivot point there is a circlip held by an o-ring that you can remove. The armrest then pulls out but leaves a 1/2" pin sticking out about an inch. There are (IIRC) 2 bolts that you can remove that holds the plate with that pin. You then have to replace the bolts since that holds the seat back to the seat bottom. I did have to cut a small slot so that my socket would fit. If you have a ratcheting wrench you should be able to do it without cutting that slot.
We never rotate the driver's seat so didn't need that armrest.

And if the peeling RT seat material are covers, can they simply be removed to reveal the factory covers underneath?
I’m guessing I know the answer to this……

Good question, wish I'd have thought of that when doing mine. I do know the armrests have the OEM covers under the RT cover. At least most of it was there, the inside was cut off.

I had the same problem plus the seats were breaking down. I used theseatshop.com. Nice and firm now. The color is not the same as my PW but matches exactly the door panels of my Chevy. I did not replace the backs because of the pockets in back.

Have you tried Wet Okole seat covers? Our volunteer rescue squad bought a few sets from them for our heavy duty trucks. Ford and chevy. Not sure if they have something for your seats. Quality cover and they fit nice.
