Default RT 2008 outside shower prob

In a 2008 210 Popular, I'm befuddled by the outside shower fitting. Opening a valve will shoot water out the small hole in both the top and the bottom of the white plastic fitting. There may be a little diaphragm in the fitting but it does not appear move as a check valve. The whole fitting appears to be part of the valve body itself and may not come out.
looking up into the fitting, it appears to be solid save for the small outlet hole that does go up thru the fitting.
Anyone have experience with this thing, and can unbefuddle me? The prospect of another indoor shower isn't good. Thanks

My '2012 Airstream has the tiny hole in the bottom only. As it should be, I suppose.

I had fleeting thoughts of drilling the bottom hole out to make it larger (just seems too small to allow decent water flow). Maybe a previous owner decided to act on that thought and drilled too far up and out the top? Do the holes line up?

Default shower spigot issue

Hey,

I was able to fix that a while back on my '12 RT 190. Inside shower valve is the same.
Its one of those things where you dont understand the design or how you ended up fixing it.......

Default found the part!!!

a plumber referred me to eTrailer where they list the little offender's P/N as Phoenix PF273002 vacuum breaker. It hand tight screws into the chrome valve body, the shower wand attaches to it, and it is cheap! So:
1. thanks to my friend RW the plumber, and
2. eTrailer has a fair advise and consent section, and
3. I'm taking Mister defective apart Ha!
