Default RV Emergency Kits are now available. And a coupon.

Hey all - Remember a while back when I was asking for input on what you think should be in an RV Emergency Kit? Well, they've finally started coming out with the first parts of the kits.

If you go to emergencykits.com and go to the "Car Kits", you should see the "RV Survival" kit. (A proper RV category is in the works)

The RV Survival Kit (2 Person) - EmergencyKits.com
This kit is a two-person survival model, and is intended to keep 2 people going for a couple of days. There will be two other kits coming out - one for mainly RV Park campers, and one for more "Remote" adventures. Those will have other supplies. This current kit is meant for the occupants themselves. Our thinking was that if you normally travel with 2 or 4 in your RV, you could buy one or two kits, and then either the "urban" or "remote" kit and you're covered.

Anyway, I've sent samples of this first kit to some of those who were helpful in coming up with the contents. But the rest of you aren't left out. On this kit, there is a coupon code:

FITRV15

That will get you 15 dollars off the retail price if you order before the end of January.

Thanks again to everyone who offered helpful suggestions along the way!

Hey James, should I be one of the ones checking my mailbox?

I've already contacted those getting the kits this time around, but there may be more samples when the other kits are done.
Those other kits are larger and more expensive though (check out the jump-starter on our website in the latest Emergency Kit post and you'll know why).

Are the waterproof poncho, the dust mask, nitrile gloves, and the bio hazard waste bag, related in any way?
