Default Sliding utensils

I'm a newbie and am wondering if there are any tips to keep things from sliding/moving around while the van is moving.

Drawers are the best places for utensils and small stuff. I get plastic trays of different shapes and sizes to fit in my
drawers at Dollarama or Dollar General. They work well for most stuff. I also use them under my 3rd seat as a
tool drawer organizer too, for wrenches and screwdrivers.
There's a rubberized shelf netting that helps keep stuff from sliding around, that works on larger surfaces,
but if something is heavy enough, and has developed sufficient inertia, it'll be moving unless somehow secured.
Some stuff can be secured with "sticky on one side" velcro pieces. Put one piece on the object, and one piece
where you'd like it to stay, press them together, and it may work. You might find it at Walmart or someplace like that.

Good luck, it's a problem we all face.

I laughed when I read this..... I thought a funny YouTube video would be the first time I take off on a trip in my van. EVERY trip it seems I have to stop a few times and find what is rattling, squeaking, jiggling..... it always takes a few tries to locate the various noises and secure the causes. The general remedy for small stuff rattling in drawers, cupboards is to jam some small towels/ dish towels in on top of them or next to them. For big stuff, it mainly gets put on the bed with blankets/ pillows to isolate it. After a couple days, I can automatically stuff things where they need to be to keep things quiet going down the road.....
As noted, small bins, trays, baskets are good to keep things separated and in place. Eventually you find that there is a place for everything and you'll put everything in it's place. Otherwise it's a constant " what did I do with that?"
And NEVER underestimate the power of centrifugal force.... if it can come loose, it will, going around the mildest of curves.....

My most niggling nuisance. How can you so completely lose something inside a 16-foot long tin can?
