Default Spark Plug Onan Generator

Would like to change the spark plug in my Onan Generator on my 2010 RoadTrek 190 Popular, I believe the original Spark Plug is a Onan 167.0263.02.

Thinking of replacing with a Champion Spark Plug, what would the Champion Spark Plug replacement be?

Ron

I am not sure Onan manufactured your spark plug. I suggest you remove the plug and take it to your local auto parts store. They have cross reference charts for all manufacturers of plugs. You will definitely be able to obtain an equivalent unit.

For the chump change involved, I would get the OEM spark plug

Onan 167-0263-02 Spark Plug KV

I wonder if the multi-point Bosch spark plugs would be useful or not. They do look cool with the four-way sparking.

I put Bosch plugs in a Honda... huge mistake. I ended up putting OEM plugs back in and the engine smoothed right out. If you've got an Onan 2800, with the hassle it is to change the plug, I'd just buy an OEM.

For $3.10 for the OEM replacement, IMO it's case closed.
