Default Tire inflator

Ive tried a fewbut they seem to heat up and stop working altogether.
I'm looking at these three

https://www.amazon.com/Husky-HY120-I.../dp/B0085X4IZM

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077N9PXV3...v_ov_lig_dp_it

https://www.campingworld.com/cart

OR any other that you might suggest. this would be for keeping tires at right psi. So needs to do 80 lbs with out stoping or heating up.
Thanks for any help

Default We Have Several Tire Inflators

One is a heavy-duty AC-powered air pump that would probably run for hours non-stop if I needed it to. It is similar to this Porter-Cable unit, available on Amaznot:

https://www.amazon.com/PORTER-CABLE-..._id=9022396011

This one stays in the garage. The van has a slightly less robust 12-volt air pump; our two other vehicles have cheap Walmart sourced tire inflators. In the van I also have a spray can of tire fixing goo and a packet of tire patching plugs, all of which I greatly wish never to use.

Before every trip, I check the van's tire pressure with a gauge and top off if necessary with the Porter-Cable air pump. I try out the others every once in a while to make sure they still work.

The one I keep in the van is a "Massair" brand air compressor I've had for ages. The only ones I see online are used and selling for around $25.00.

I think either of your Amazon-linked compressors will do the job.

VIAIR seems to get high marks. I have an onboard version on my Class C. They market a portable one for Class Bs.

I'm looking for a 12v tire pump to keep my airbags at PSI when I'm on longer trips. I would guess that it would not have to be as robust as one that seeks to get to 80psi in a large tire, but not sure. Looking for something as quiet as possible. How would the above suggestions fare with that in mind?

I use my onboard VIAIR to do just that, and tires and toys. The VIAIR is a robust unit. It’s been a while since I checked but back in the day, Jeepers used that brand to air their tires back up after playing.

I have used a 110v like the Husky in the link provided by the OP. I carry a 25 foot 12 gauge extension cord. If needed, fire up the generator and air 'em up.

I gave up on the 12v dc models although many use them. Just my preference.

"Looking for something as quiet as possible."

Why is that?

irritates my ears to run a noisy one. I do have a very old (40 yrs?) one that I have used but it's just plain noisy.......I figure someone must have improved on them

VIAIR 450P-RV Silver Automatic Portable Compressor Kit (45053), 1 Pack

I spent years frustrated with various compressors of different sizes and prices. I finally gave in and paid what I thought was outrageous.
The VIAIR is awesome and expensive. Read the reviews and buy your last portable compresser.

Default Viair

I’ve had a viair for a B, then an A, and now back to a B. I have a 4500 which has automatic cut off (handle is small air tank). The 4500s are 100% duty cycle units. Some units are 33%. It’s been great.

I use a VIAIR 88P; works great and fairly compact.

I love my dewalt 20v max cordless inflator. Set the pressure you want and push the button. It fills to 80psi without issue.
