Default TRUMA Warning Icon?

I have a warning triangle appearing on my TRUMA display saying “W 45 H”. What is it telling me? I did press the knob for over 3 seconds and saw an “Off” message so I assume the TRUMA is off.

Your Truma is set to use 120V shore power, but you are not plugged in to shore power.

If you are plugged you will probably find your Truma is plugged into a GFI outlet and there is a good chance your GFI is tripped. I keep meaning to replace mine with a non-GFI but keep forgetting. I'm not sure of your setup, but in my Era A the outlet is behind the furnace air return vent.

I’ve used the Truma on battery power before and never seen this warning, though.

I’m curious how it would still be working then if I have the warning icon? Presumably, if the GFI had been tripped, the unit wouldn’t be on?

To be fair to those who responded, you never mentioned that your Truma was working, that is putting out heat or heating water. If that is the case and you are seeing this error you have a bigger issue such as a control module failure.

The Truma control/display functions are 12VDC and don’t require 120VAC, but they are there to report issues when 120VAC is missing from the heating elements. Odds are this is what is being reported.

If you have it set to use both propane and electric, you can see this warning but still have heat and hot water. The heat is coming 100% from propane though. The battery will run the fan, but not the electric heating elements.

Most likely your GFCI outlet is tripped. Or you are not on shore power, or a breaker is tripped in your breaker panel.
