No kidding. I'm all for big projects, but that is just plain masochistic.

I didn't care for the color. I remember in 1963 you could go to Earl Scheib. His slogan was "I will paint ANY car ANY color for $29.95" My mother had her Kharman Ghia painted there and except for the considerable overspray on the windshield and about 2 pounds of soap shavings left in the fenders, it wasn't bad!

I agree, darn good idea wrightstuf. No reason to sand blast down to metal before painting because there isn't any. So just use air blasting inside and out. Then using an inexpensive paint gun thing, paint the heck out of it inside and out.

Down the road, just paint over any rust that shows up using spray paint cans, purchased with the paint.

This would be my way vs say booster's.

I noticed that there had been no updates for a year...

There was a British fellow over on RVNet who was reconstructed a 1950s model UK motorhome. Only he was rebuilding each piece after removal of the rusted out sections. I don't recall him getting anything from other vans. It was quite amazing and he was a real artist. He updated the board for a number of years... and then disappeared...

You need to get rid of the rust completely or it will just keep growing bigger. Or use the rust reformer stuff they have out now that nuetralizes rust. Don't just paint over as that will solve nothing
