Default Rattle in are of propane tank

We have developed a rattle in the rear of the coach. It sounds like it is inside the propane tank. When we step into the RV, or move around inside it starts to rattle. When the coach is completely still there is no noise. We are thinking perhaps it is the gauge inside the propane tank that is moving and clancking on the side. Any thoughts? Has anyone had this problem? What did you do. Thanks for your ideas. Also the gauge does not work. No idea why.

Update. After much exploration it appears that propane tanks have a float in them and that perhaps our propane tank is too full and the float is tapping on the top of the tank.
