Solar Panel that plugs into steering column port!!
Just wondered if anyone else has one of these? I bought a used 1999 HD in 2010 and with it came a solar panel for the dashboard (size of a laptop screen) and it plugs into the diagnostic port on the steering column. I just lay it on the dash. It has suction cups but I don't use them as they would smear the inside of the windshield. The previous owner said he got it from Volkswagen and that it was made for the coach. It seems to work just fine.
I must have great coach batteries because no matter what I do and where I go, they never dip (only one time) below the full mark on the battery indicator at the Control Panel. Not sure of the brand but they are deep cycle marine types - 2 of them.
