Default Installing Reverse Switch for a Sony Head unit.

00CHEVY200 POPULAR Has anybody put in a rearview camera in 00C200P RT? Actually, I'm suppose to attach the reverse switch from the Sony head unit to the "green" wire on the truck. I got the unit from Crutchfield and they said it was the green wire in the E7 socket on the 48 socket "convenience" center. Well, there are only 5 green wires (different shades), and I've tried them all, none of them turn the camera off and on. Yes, the camera works. Some of the wires have a current and turns the camera on. And I am clueless how to determine where the E7 socket is located. Anybody??? Ideas.

possible the circuit is only active when in reverse

if vehicle allows reverse gear selection with motor off, try again

Yes, that's the way it's supposed to work. You shift into reverse and the camera comes on.

Default Reverse Camera wire

I got some new info from Crutchfield. They had a drawing that shows me exactly which wire to use. I'll let you know tomorrow if it does the trick!
