Post U-Clips holding 2003 Roadtrek 190 Polular ground effects to sheet metal door

Good day to all... I scanned the older post looking for an answer to my question above before posting. I am about to acquire a 2003 Roadtrek from my father in-law who's heath is declining. I noticed on the Driver and passenger doors the "ground effects" plastic molding along the bottom is loose. It appears that after washing the van rusted U-clips are what holds these "effect" to the sheet metal door. Have looked online trying to find adequate replacements ( outside of roadtrek) both Lordco and Canadian Tire have simular J bolts ( clips) but nothing exactly... can anyone point me in the general direction of a reasonable facsimile or happen to have the model number of these U-clips that I could purchase from a 3rd party... thanks very Much
Dan

Auto Fastco has hundreds of body molding clips.

You never said what make the chassis is, so I couldn't look anything up for you.

Default U clips update

Found the part... now on order. It's described from Roadtrek as "Clip molding to ground effects" Part # 06002500

Hi there.. I will confirm tonight but I believe 2 ( possibly 3).... Rather have a batch on hand in case I loose any further. The cost ( In CDN) is 2.99 Dollars a clip... I ordered 10 just because I will keep the remainder on staby... Cheers

Default Clips

The number is the actual part # from roadtrek. You have to order from a "Authorized dealer" who will request the part from Roadtrek ( based on that number) they will then send the part to the dealer, where finally I have the dealer forwarding the mail onto me... yes a convoluted way to get parts... but Oh well.. got to ensure the middle man gets their cut I guess >

When you order the parts from the dealer,
you can ask them to send the parts directly to you from RT.
It has been done before.

Just to close off the loop you need 3 clips per door.. glad I decided on 10 (extra as backup)
What a difference in securing the ground effects... gone is the duct tape.. Cheers

Hi Buggybumpers,

Your guess please:

If I remove one of these clips and then knowing exactly the shape/size, what is the chance of finding it or something equivalent at the hardware store, auto parts store, internet.... Nothing wrong at all with the Roadtrek providing, I just did not think of simply removing one, if possible.

Thank you.

Bud

Well I searched Lordco, Canadian Tire, even GM dealer to no avail. They do come off pretty easy though so removing and finding a close match could be possible. I wish you the best of luck.
Regards
Dan

Dan, somehow it dawned on me the next day when I was out and about that you had already answered my question when you posted asking for assistance! Dumb. Then when I got home, I forgot to post by dumbness and,

Thanks for the assistance, you posting 'the rest of the story' about your solution, probably mine too.

Has anyone found these clips since there are no authorized RT dealers anymore? Several of mine have fallen off. Does anyone know of any other off the shelf clips that will work?
