Default Bigfoot Class B camper van

We just bought one. They were made in 1996-1997 only; built on a Ford Econoline E350 chassis. Rear dinette converts to a bed that's a bit smaller than double size, a third seat converts to a narrow single berth. One piece fiberglass enclosed bathroom that includes a shower/sink/toilet, which is wonderful: no showering in the hallway.
According to Bigfoot expert Mark Holmes, they were built as a touring van. Some insulation but of course nothing like the Bigfoot campers have. We've added a Fantastic Vent to replace the cheezy Ventline vent, and now are struggling with the seller (Johnson RV in Sandy) to get the mold-saturated rear cushions replaced.
I notice there's another Bigfoot Class B owner on the forum, so at least two are extant. Actually, one sold on e-Bay this spring as well.
We're still learning...

So sorry I didn't see this when you posted. I have gotten over the 'newness' of my Bigfoot, but still love it. I love to know there is an other one somewhere.....
What year is yours? What color inside? I understand there were pinkish ones and bluish ones....Mine has the maroon exterior trim and pinkish inside. I immediately took out that passenger seat so I would have some floor space to at least change clothes in.
I travel to Arizona in winter with mine. So far, so good. Mine had mold marks on the plywood under one dinette seat. Luckily it had baked out in Arizona long enough that there was no odor or discoloration on the fabric. I leave the bed made up all the time.
So you ever go to Arizona or Montana? I would love to see your Bigfoot.

Default House batteries disconnect

I recently purchased this 1996 Bigfoot class b van and am wondering if it has a disconnect switch for the 2 house batteries.
Anyone here still has this camper?

Hi Durable,

Welcome

what questions do you have?

I have another brand, but many components are shared in our RV's fridges, furnaces, water heaters etc

other brands may share the same chassis/drivetrain, Ford isn;t it?

Cheers, Mike

Default Bigfoot in my future?

Thanks Mike! I didn't have a single clue about the Bigfoot until I read this thread. I found one for sale with low mileage and am in the process of finding out more hopefully today. The listing shows it also has a Quigly 4X4. Yes it is a Ford and shows the V-8. I have seen exactly 1 photograph and that was of the drivers side from the rear looking forward so I don't have a lot of information. My wife and I have been trying to figure out what we want for our first RV and the Class B's look just right.

Hope you have a great day!

Bob
