Default Hot water tank bypass

I have a 1999 Roadtrek 190 Versatile. I am preparing to winterize in a month or so. I was just looking at the hot water heater, it does not have a water bypass. I would like to put one in.
Are there instructions in this forum somewhere? Any kits recommended?
