Default Awning brackets on leisure van

I am having a senior moment and can not remember how the awning leg connects in the bracket on the side of the van
Lift up the thing that goes across and put leg into that part and then drop the bracket into the b9ttom slot
OR visa versa
Thanks ann

The leg has a pivot thing at the bottom that should slide into the bracket on the van.
At the top of the bracket is a pin that slides up. Push it up, then insert the top part of the leg pivot in under the pin. Then push the pivot flush with the van and let it drop into the bracket. Presto.
We have found that it is much handier to just keep the legs straight down on the ground, rather than using the bracket. The pivot part has holes so you can hammer a tent peg through the hole into the ground.

These are mounts on our van, insert the bottom of the movable leg's bracket first, then lift van's bracket latch, then twist the upper part of the leg's bracket toward the van and lower the latch. In my case, depending of the level of awning extension, sometime I need to slightly lift the awning.

I have one of my brackets missing the top flap which secures the awning arm so the awning is not exactly secure, where can I get a replacement? Also how difficult would it be to replace the broken bracket?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

For parts try Fiamma or Panther RV -
RV Awnings
Fiamma Inc. - Online products and spare-part purchase

I used pads with 3M VHB tape to attached the Fiamma brackets, they were made by Hein from his store on eBay. Just send him a message, his inventory varies. I wanted to use larger pads for my awning pads and worked with Hein to get them CNCed.

Good luck,
