Default Awning crank mount.

I finely finished installing the mount for Fiamma awning crank. My original one was the long telescoping crank, way too long, always in a someone’s way so I purchased the Fiamma Standard size which is 123 cm (4’) long in the cranking position. I don’t have any full size tall cabinets having all windows around so it was a little frustrating. I designed a simple aluminum tube “holster” accessible from outside via opened sliding door. The crank’s handle OD matches well Al tube ID and on the hook side there is a piece of ¾” rubber hose to keep the rod tight in and vibration free. Simple, safe - slide in or out, done.

As usual, in typical GR style, Nicely Done.

We did similar in our C190P Roadtrek, but I used a piece of central vacuum PVC tubing, which is much thinner wall than plumbing stuff, but the caps for each end for it. Ours is bigger diameter, though, as it also has to hold the center top support for the awning. Like GeorgeRa, our awning hardware was always in the way. Roadtrek had it stored right across the back under the bed, blocking access to storage.

Here is a pic of ours. Ignore the "up" mark as it really just shows were the turn lock screw is for the cap. When I added the little led light, it needed to sit a bit different.
