Default Custom bumper!

Here is my bumper I recently had made for me.
I designed it and had a local 4x4 fabricator build for me.
Its 12 gauge steel powder coated etc. Has a total 4 cubic feet of storage between the two sealed compartments.
Love it...

Looks nice and practical, but I'm afraid a bumper like that would eat up a big chunk of my carrying capacity. I 'pity the foo' who runs into that thing.

Is it designed to be a somewhat indestructible bumper or an innovative storage box? Both?

The bumper surprisingly weighs only 85 lbs.

That's less than I would have guessed.

I wanted a bumper that I could stand on for loading canoes a view point for photos etc , I really wanted more storage and something a little beefier than the slim stock bumper.
The whole bumper to the ends is hollow and boxed in. Powder coating inside as well and lined with bus flooring rubber.
having the platform makes loading my van so much easier.
