Default Gary’s Reading Lights

Gary’s Reading Lights

(From wa6muu on the RT Yahoo Group)

I posted pictures of the reading lights I installed over the bed in our 1997 D190P. See the Reading Light folder in the Photos section.

The first photo shows the 3-port power outlet with the lights plugged into the right and left ports. The center port provides power when needed for other devices. Power is supplied from the wires driving the fluorescent fixture.

The second photo shows the lights from the front.

The third photo shows the light unplugged. I got these thru AJ Prindle a few weeks ago. http://www.ajprindle.com/products/sku-11522.html Seems like they are not longer available!!! I wonder what happened?

Anyway, the fourth picture shows an 8 x 11 sheet of paper (schematic for power converter) illuminated with only one light.

The lights aren't extremely bright but they are bright enough to read by without much of a problem. Each only draw about 25 milliamps, it would take 40-hours of continuous running to consume 1-amp-hour.
