Default More storage

I've had my Simplicity for about 3 years now. I love it but storage is always an issue and you can't just 'build an addition' on these. So, we try to downsize what we take to be bare essentials. But, my wife "needs" here two pillows, among other things. They're either laying on the bed or stuffed in an overhead. Either way, they're a pain. I've been wanting to put a slide out shelf above the bed spanning between the driver and passenger overheads. But, it would impede ac flow and be one more thing to deal with. So, here is the compromise, which I'm very happy about.

Nice solution, but I’m curious. What's wrong with pillows on a bed? Don't they belong there?

I forgot to mention that I have two dogs with their own pillows. When we are mobile, the puppies get the bed and we displace them to the floor when parked. Of course, this poses another problem which is stepping over them to go to the potty in the middle of the night when I'm half asleep.

Interesting solution.

How about inflatable pillows?

I love that idea for the pups. I still think i'll find a use for the cargo net (for light loads).
