Default solar panel, wax?

Getting ready to mount my solar panels, any suggestions to coat then with prior to install, wax,rainex etc...

Good question, they do get pretty dirty and somewhat hard to clean. Good thing is they are glass so you can use a bug sponge on them. I think most waxes and the like have some UV inhibitors in them, so they may filter some of the frequencies you want to go through. Can't say about Rainex, which we have found to work on the windshield well, as long as you put it on often. If it starts to wear off, it smears up very badly sometimes, when you run the wipers.

I just wash them when I wash the van at home. No coatings. On a new install I'd clean them with Windex or similar product to get any smudges from handling them off the glass.
