Default Tire size

Would changing tire size to something bigger improve on wandering?
I have Cooper tire LT 215/85R 16 on my class b and having a problem with wandering. The tires seem to be narrow for the load
Any help please

That's not really enough information to give advice on tire size.
I would have the front end checked thoroughly by a competent mechanic first.
Do u have it loaded improperly ? Ie too much weight in the far rear behind axle ?
Generally lower profile tires reduce wandering if they are of the same weight capacity, but they also increase engine speed wheel bearing wear, and fuel consumption.
As a general rule I run the biggest tires with the heaviest weight rating that i can get in that size on my campers/motorhomes.
However, my guess is that if it is wandering badly, that tires aren't your problem UNLESS THEY ARE UNDERINFLATED.
so check that and weigh your camper axles front and rear separately at a truck stop to check proper distribution.

Ford, Chevy, Dodge, or?

3/4 ton or 1 ton?

What is recommended on the sticker at the driver's door?

Papalee,

NEED MORE INFO - as InterVec made their Class B's with Chevy, Dodge and Ford vans. They also used 3/4 ton and 1 ton chassis. Which combo do you have???

However, just by googling 1992 Chev, Dodge and Ford 1-ton tire sizes I find that the tire sizes ranged from LT 225/75 to LT245/75 sizes. Some were on 15" wheels and others on 16" wheels.

So, I'm guessing that someone prior to you put narrower tires on your RV. Also, as SteveJ suggested, look at the sticker on the driver's door that lists the "tire size" and recommended "air Pressure". That will tell you the correct tire size that your vehicle came with from the factory.

Will a larger tire help with wandering??? Maybe, but most likely No.
But I do think that your tires are probably narrower/smaller that original.

Default Sway Bar

Check the sway bar and shocks. Look at Koni Shock web site. Keep tires as factory recommends but get good Michelin tires
