1991 Roadtrek 190 Monitor Panel
We are total newbies to the RV world. Just bought this Roadtrek less than 2 weeks ago and now we have a problem. The monitor panel has ceased to function. Any ideas as to why and how to fix? Any help is appreciated.

We spent 2 nights in it just after we bought it and had a wonderful time. We are looking forward to lots more this coming Spring and Summer.

I can think of a couple of things.

Do you have power for interior lights etc.?

If, not try turning on the battery disconnect switch. If still no power then maybe the house battery is discharged.

If the interior lights still work on battery power the you know it's just the monitor panel. I'm not sure if there is a fuse on the line supplying power to the panel but definitely check for burnt out fuses.

You most probably have a KIB Monitor Panel. They have FAQ's and Troubleshooting tips on their website here:

There's lots of info on their site.

I just read through one of the troubleshooting manuals. It's very good, step by step. It does mention to check the fuse.

The manuals are in pdf format so they can be downloaded and or printed etc.

Thanks so much for your help. You are correct in supposing we had that kind of panel and the info on the manufacturers web site should help us track down the problem. We will get at it in the morning.

Have you managed to get it working?

Sorry to take so long to reply but my husband works shifts and just got around to checking the fuses on the weekend. It was a fuse that had burned out and once it was replaced, everything worked. We went overnight on Tuesday to an RV park and had a great time.

Thanks for your help and suggestions. If we run into any other glitches I hope not to take so long to let someone know how it went.

That's great!

I carry an assortment of spare fuses in my RV. They're small, light & inexpensive but can save the day when needed.
