Re: Would the SMB Classic be a class "B" or "C"?

I think they say it in this line.
"Type B Motorhomes are built using automotive manufactured van or panel-truck shells." That's pretty clear to me. It's right on their consumer site....

Re: Would the SMB Classic be a class "B" or "C"?

Go Rving, RIVA's consumer site, still describes a Class B as "Commonly called van campers, Type B Motorhomes are built using automotive manufactured van or panel-truck shells. Van campers drive more...

Re: Mike Wendland is off the air

If things haven't changed, viehicle insurance doesn't cover items not attached to to the RV. Home Owners, or renters insurance should cover the cameras, etc. When I sold my house, I had to get a...

Re: Used Class B that can pull a small car?

It's not just what weight you can tow, but also the GCWR. You will have to weigh the fully loaded RV, the toad and dolly, to get this number.
The GCWR is the maximum allowable weight of the tow...

Re: Howdy

Chinook made quality RV's but be aware they are built on a truck chassis (cut-a-way) so they are a Class C. Sellers like to advertise them as Class B's to promote sales.

Re: second thoughts

Gerry, just remember fans circulate air they do not cool, so your RV will never get cooler than the outside temp. and in hot weather no where even close. Mans skin sweats, and fans evaporate the...

Re: Replacement seats for Roadtrek

Someone years ago, on RV.net, replaced theirs with Recaro's. You might do a search, older posts, in the B forum. Nice, but not cheap.

Re: Roadtrek is making a ProMaster model... Zion

Excessive idiling of a modern gas engine won't damage it any more than driving it. Unless it has a cooling issue, broken belt, etc. and temp. gets too high, or oil pressure drops below safe levels,...

Yes Avanti, excuse me, I left out variable speed to the on demand part, I thought I cleared that up in my next post.
My original pump was very noisy, similar to yours, but replacing it in 2003 with...

Re: Advancing Alvar

Flojet's unique Variable Speed Drive system needs no pressure switch. Its microprocessor provides precise speed control to match the system demand. As more water is needed, the motor drives the pump...

Re: Advancing Alvar

With an On Demand pump from Flo-Jet, or Surflo you shouldn't get any hammering, at least I don't.
I replaced my water pump in 2003 with a Flojet, and I'm sure tech has improved since then.
I can...

Re: C B Radio on PW Excel.

Not trying to talk you out of a CB radio, but there's really not much on the channels except the truckers, and most of that stuff is pretty "colorful". Seems CB's have gone the way of the dinosaur....

Re: '94 Dodge Roadtrek Popular lug nut torque specs

Even though my Goodyear dealer hand torques the lug nuts, I always recheck them. I'm not worried so much about the rims as I am about warping a rotor. I would never accept driving on a wheel...

Re: Exterior Caulk

Trail Lite is a Class C, and lots of owners in the RV.net Class C forum, sub category "B+"
You will get a lot of help over there. A b+ is really a Class C.

Re: A/C Assistance

I stand my what I stated, and cooling a Class B is a lot harder than cooling a Class C, or Diesel pusher.
