94 Dodge Roadtrek generator fuel feed

I eliminated the generator fuel pickup in the fuel pump because of a vapor leak. Does anyone have any experience with setting up an alternate tank or fuel pickup system for the Onan 2800 generator?

Does anyone know what the torque specs are for a '94 Dodge Roadtrek 190 Popular? Mine has the American Racing wheels with 8 lugs.
