Bicycle rack conundrum... Continued.

Looks great kite rider. I put a piece of 2 x 4 under the outer swivel when the swing arm is fully extended to take the moment off the van. Feels solid. Also, try flipping your bikes around so the...

I looked at these ones too. Great options, but I chose the rocky mounts for its fully integrated swing arm / frame mount. It’s so convenient to not take the bikes off or tamper with the locks...

I’ve been looking at various web sites, kuat is the only brand that gives any guidance as not to install on an “RV”. Wow, but there are a thousand types of RV out there, all kinds of geometry and...

Looking at the fitment drawings, pictures of the rear doors of the 210 (narrower than promaster when open 90 degrees), and other pictures of the backstage installed on sprinter vans with doors open...

I was looking at dimension G on the fitment drawing. If the objective is to open your rear doors without removing bikes then there should be no problem. On the bike rack side you would get a 95%...

Bicycle rack conundrum... Continued.

On their website there is a dimension diagram that shows clearing 45.6”. That would work for a van 91” wide, or 7’-9” outside width. So I’d say, yup it would...

Bicycle rack conundrum... Continued.

Have a look at the rockymounts web site. The reason you buy this one is because you own a sprinter or promaster with rear doors and you want unfettered access. It’s designed for two 60 lbf bikes...

Bicycle rack conundrum... Continued.

I use a rockymounts backstage with my zion 159” promaster 3500. Works great, I see no potential problems resulting from the longer wheelbase. They are in fact designed for use with sprinters and...

Lengthy video review of my new 59G

Yep - Great video. Question: the 59k video showed a half width full length storage bin under the passenger side bed. Does this exist under the driver side bed as well?

Re: European Sprinter Class B Layouts

Definitely agree. So far safari combo seems to be the only North American supplier of this layout. Lots of advantages, very few drawbacks. I'll be buying one of these in 2016!
