strap across battery isolator
I can see no harm to come from this. I do a similar thing to charge my rear battery, charge with negative on chassis ground and positive to the bolt on the inverter which leads to the coach battery....

Yes it is a Roadtrek. I will try the manufacturer. To clarify: I measure no voltage before the switch and I do not know the routing of the wires, hence the query.
