Re: Hood protector gas mileage

I like the idea of a Scangauge thread. The more I have messed with it, the more I figure I don't totally understand some of the way it works, or why they did things the way they did. We may not...

Re: Hood protector gas mileage

I first noticed what I thought was the better mileage in hills about 4 years ago, and just assumed it was calculation error or setting error on the Scangauge. We go 21 mpg on a very hilly stretch of...

Re: Hood protector gas mileage

We just got back from a quick 3 day trip to southern Minnesota. Not a long trip at about 85miles each way, and quite (very?) windy both ways, headwind out, tailwind back, both with some crosswind. ...

Re: Hood protector gas mileage

GM doesn't show that size in the tire size flash, so we are out of luck on that. We do have our Scangauge set to the exact speed and odometer, and that is what we do to check mileage.

Hood protector gas mileage

Has anybody done any testing on if a hood protector reduces mileage much? I put one on our Chevy before our last trip, and it we did appear to get less mileage than in the past. It is hard to pin it...
