Onan altitude adjustment

Broken bronze shaft going into carb. Never had plastic indicator anyway. Apparently have Onan dealer 75 miles from here. I am capable of working on equipment, trying to avoid having to buy new carb....

Broken altitude adjustment knob on Onan 2.8 in 2004 Roadtrek. Anybody ever replace theirs? How big a pill was it? Suggestions on where to get the parts? Thank you
