What I mean by this below is.......
If you keep your vehicle until it's scrapped, it doesn't matter what the actual market value is...it's priceless to you for the enjoyment you get......

Depreciation and resale value is only important when you intend to sell
If you are just holding onto your vehicle, depreciation and resale is not important.
With the insanely high prices on brand new Class B's going up all the time, I could not afford to pay for a...

I know what you mean about depreciation...
Your getting 22MPG on your Interstate? That's great! I'm averaging a consistent 18MPG on my 2012 RS..... probably lower because I have the 3 litre V6 and dual wheels.... maybe you only have the two...

I suppose you are right.....
OK...I see your point..... and agree....it is about "how you use it"... .
For my personal situation, and this might be different from others, we normally put more than 5,000 miles per year on our...

Driving vacations are sweet.....
Exactly.... and we can afford to actually drive and see a variety of different places because we're getting 14 to 20 MPG....as a group.... with gasoline on the lower side and diesel engines on the...

Sounds like it's your 2nd car
100,0000 miles in 5 years probably means your probably driving this just about everywhere....
That's great...a lot of use definitely keeps the cost per mile traveled lower.
I guess you plan to...

You know it's closer to 10,000 pounds
With us, our gear and full tank of gas and water...it's way heavier than 8,500....
Our Sprinter 3500 170 has the dual wheels... heck, I just installed a bike rack. Our bicycles weigh 70 pounds...

So.... you're saying that my Sprinter is more like 0-60 in 24 seconds?
You think it's that slow?

Mercedes Benz Sprinter cargo van
Really don't know how much slower it would be with the extra conversion weight added by the RV builder, but the cargo van empty is 0-60 in 11 or 12 seconds...
It's certainly fast enough for...

Is this really an important conversation?
Seriously????
Each of the Vans will walk off from any Sprinter though.
I have not done any 0-60 runs in my Sprinter 3500....but, the way you described it is that it's slower from 0-60 than my old...

You certainly got a great value!
Well, you certainly can't complain about the price and depreciation is zero... And, it has only 62,000 miles... you got it at 45,000. WOW.... fantastic.
So, you put a few thousand dollars in to...

We just take less stuff.... you'll get used to it.
We've had our RV two years now...at first, we took a lot of extra stuff, and every trip we keep a log of what we didn't use.... Mostly ditch that on the next trip 😁. You won't lose everything, but,...

WOW....1997 still going strong... kudos.
How many miles are on the 97 Pleasure Way?
That's great how it's working for you.... with all the systems running OK with the original engine and transmission?
You're using it every month?...

Dave, good to hear from you
Dave, we finally got an opportunity to see an
Advanced RV Ocean while we were on the road.
Beautifully done. I can see why you are a fan of their RV, what's not to like.
I think you said...

Good decision getting a Class B RV?
I really love my Sprinter, but, it's so expensive..... lots of trade offs with fantastic excursions and experiences....
Do you ever wonder what you might have done differently?
Or would you do...
