Thanks for the tip on the Dunes camprhound! I wonder how busy it is except for tent campers since there's no electric. It's closer, far cheaper and more convenient than the Illinois State Beach...

Yes. The style of traveling will be interesting however due to my budget and the fact that the van will get about 10-12 hwy if I'm lucky.
