Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Booster, I'd be curious to see if that Roadtrek Agile shows up in the Minneapolis RV Show next week.

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

I am in the Southwest and only one rental company I know of, Out of San Francisco and Las Vegas, Average is $2000 per week, if you book an off week I think you can get down to $1200, I live in the...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Just saw a post from Lake Region RVs in Minnesota on Facebook. They rent a Roadtrek Agile for $200 per day.

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

The earlier model regular Sprinters were 21'-11" not including any back mounted spare tire or step bumpers. The newer regular Sprinters are 22'-9" without step bumpers or spare tire. There, of...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Great West Vans bathroom is toward the back next to the bed. Pleasure-way Plateau and Leisure Travel Vans Free Spirit have similar plans with the bathroom right behind the driver.

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

I have the 22'-9" GWVan Legend not the EX. I have it pretty much set up to do what I want. The things I would want changed really can't be done but are not deal breakers. I have made modifications...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Knocking on wood after 100,000 miles we haven't needed a spare. We even drove 10,500 miles to Alaska and back including the all gravel On Top of the World road to Dawson City, Yukon.

We don't...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

A Sprinter B van is no wider than a standard pickup truck. Class Cs are the ones that can have boxes 8 foot wide and there are some wide body fiberglass back Bs as well. We have a level driveway but...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

If you can get 18% off on a B you are doing good. They don't discount them like Class As and Cs.

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

If the Winnebago Era floor plan is the 70A layout I would say it would be a great choice at $85,000. It's a fixed back bed with a wedge insert to make it a whole bed. I'd leave the wedge at home and...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Missing in the video was the Winnebago Era. I wonder if Mike Wendland has another video on it like he did for the Advanced RV Ocean One.

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

We drove to Winnipeg in February when it was 27 below 0F to look at the Legend we eventually bought. :)

I've lived 43 years in Minnesota. I've never owned snow tires. All-weather tires do fine and...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

The one in hand is always better than any in the bush. :) I've known a few procrastinators that always wait for the next best thing and dismissing all the enjoyment they could have had.

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

The dually wheel wells make perfect ottomans with the GWVan. Having had both Pleasure-way and GWVan I'm not speculating here. The Trifold sofa is much quicker to put up and take down. No messing with...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

AandB,

The Great West Titan shared a lot of the same amenities you described with the Sprinter Great West Van Legend. You are right about they are no longer being made. After GWVan was sold the...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

As I have mentioned, I originally went through this investigating Class Bs when I first bought ours in 2006. It was a matter of investigating all the options but the hardest part is not ever having a...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Besides the bathroom being on the passenger side with Airstreams and Roadtreks blocking your campside view is that they also cut down the generous wide opening of the door. The worst part is the...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

The Pleasure-way Plateau RB (https://www.pleasureway.com/plateauRB.php) with a fixed rear bed solves the issue of a cramped cab up front as they have moved the bathroom back away from the driver. This...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Maybe a southerner might disagree with me but we rarely run our air conditioning and in two years of use on our current Great West Van Legend we have run our generator a grand total of 8.8 hours....

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Some of the converters that Markopolo listed can't be bought in the United States. Interestingly, unless it has changed again recently, you couldn't buy a Canadian converted Great West Van Legend in...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

I've researched and owned two Sprinter B's. In my experience there is no correlation between top seller and best quality. Heck, the potential best might not have even sold one yet. If you let that...
