Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Hi Casd,

My only suggestion is that if you are going to buy a new base unit to build your dream Class B from, is to pony up the extra bucks and start with all the options that MB has to offer. In...

Yes, Davydd, I meant Cubic Feet, not square feet.

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

I think all the regular Sprinters (Roadtrek calls one of their models "RS" for Regular Sprinter, IIRC) are 22' 9", but I actually haven't measured one myself--that would be too difficult, so I just...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Hi Chuck,

20 ft is pretty short. Most of the Sprinters are 22' 9", and a few are extended to 24' 1". As you mentioned, the RoadTrek Agile is 19' 6". Pleasure Way has brought back their Ascent...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Hi Pete,

Here is a YouTube video of something like what we are getting. I hope it is not the same one because if you read the comments to the video, some people think the image is not real in the...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Hey Pete,

I don't have the link regarding the mirror at hand. I'll try to get it for you. Dave of GW sent me a link, but I looked at it and have forgotten it. Sorry.

I tried to Google it up...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Since our Great West Legend SE is arriving soon, we're shopping for insurance. I started a new thread about that topic. https://www.classbforum.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2513

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Hi again, everyone.

Our rig is close arriving.......just a few days now. There was an issue with the rear view camera setup. We thought the new rear view cameras on many of the new Sprinter...

Haven't got pics yet, our delivery was delayed about a week. We wanted a rear view camera installed and it was back ordered. :(

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

With that mileage, it must be on of the units that were produced before the new pollution stuff was mandated. Airstream is a great name and the product looked good when we tested it. I don't know...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Hi Len,

Sorry your not happy with your rig. It is designed to be pretty basic, though, but that doesn't explain poor workmanship. Good luck getting stuff resolved.

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Congrats sebtown.......Airstream is a good rig. The only problem we found with them was their price. They are well built. The people at our local MB dealership said that the mechanics like working...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Hi Ver. John,

We won't mind using the shower, etc. in a campground, and we might get a nationwide LA fitness membership that will give us another place to shower. But I recently went through the...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Not to get mushy, but, yes we are in love. We've been married 10 years and a little bit, and we're still best friends. The small quarters will be a challenge, yes, but my wife likes sleeping in a...

Thanks Barry,

Did you also show them to Great West? I think they were at that show, too. I know that there is some connection between the two companies--I think the project manager at Advanced...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Thanks pattonsr, but the manufacturer of our new rig puts something on that gives easy access to the valve stems. (Maybe it is even the borg unit.)

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Our final decision is:

Great West Vans Legend SE. Our ETA for it is Feb. 28th/March 1st. (It was a very close call between that and the Legend EX. Our backup choice was the Pleasure Way...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Hello all.

Here is an update on our situation:

A member of this forum contacted us to show us his Great West Legend EX (there are no Great West dealers in our area). It is a very nice rig with...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Sorry Rick,

For some reason I didn't catch that you had the back of your unit filled with bikes already. I think that will make matters difficult unless you mount it on top or something. Maybe...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Hi Rick,

As said before, The Pleasureway is probably the unit we are going to get--if the price is right. We'll default to the Winne ERA if not.

I have researched the matter a lot, and putting...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Hey Teachergal,

A quick question about your Pleasure Way Plateau. (We are currently finalizing our research in preparation of making an offer on a new Plateau.) Do you still have your spare tire...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Thanks, Ron, but parking it on the slope would just be for storing it for a while. We definitely wouldn't be able to sleep comfortably in the rig when it was parked on the slope. Davydd said that...

Thanks again to everyone who has posted on this thread.

I'm sure glad I started it. We've found out a lot about the units, and we're getting closer to the date we buy one. So now some other...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

That's good info to have Stan. Since most dealers who deal Class C's deal in Class B's (and visa-versa), you would think it would be consistent across the board. Under any circumstances, we plan to...

Re: Deciding on which class B to buy.

Yes, it is the 70A model. I don't know why they had it for such a small price, and I don't know if we can still get it for that price. It might have been a year end inventory deal of some sort. We...
