Right. You would need the control knob on the front of the fridge for the gas, but I think that the gas is not actually controlled by the switch itself - the rod on the knob basically passes through...

Has anyone replace/fixed the manual switch on the older dometic 3-way fridges? Mine doesn't switch to 12 volts (after a time of intermittent failures) even though there is 12 volts at the terminals....
