Agreed, but it's not necessarily a bad purpose. In a system that uses a single BMS, coherent and accurate metering (Trimetric et al) is easily accomplished. But Roadtrek's multiple independent BMS...

I have the more recent version but there is no way to measure the draw with the system as provided because the multiple battery management systems makes it impractical to install a shunt driven meter...
