Re: Winterizing

Thanks everyone for your responses. Well I did it today. Turned the pump on and then turned on the kitchen faucets until barely any antifreeze came out. The more I thought about it, the more I...

Re: Winterizing

Maybe I'm not explaining what I want to do very well. We already winterized, so all lines have antifreeze in them. What I want to do is drain all the lines of the antifreeze and leave them empty. ...

Re: Winterizing

Thanks mike. We have AF in the lines, black & gray tanks right now. We flushed and drained the fresh water tank only, so it is clean and ready to go. Your way sounds interesting and kinda what I...

Winterizing

We winterized our RT a couple of weeks ago. Directions said to pour 2 gals AF into FWT. Our old RT had a kit to by pass the tanks and went directly into the AF bottle. In this RT, it is not...

Re: Removing power sofa

Thanks rscheider for your response. That's what I would like to do, but my D H doesn't want to go that route for whatever reason. I'm hoping I can convince him to at least take the cushions off. ...

City water in take vs. a city water in take with check valve

On our C190P Roadtrek, we had a city water in take with check valve and when we would winterize it, we would insert the end of a pencil to release the valve to allow antifreeze to drain. On our 2013...

Re: Removing power sofa

Thank for your responses. Booster your mod is fantastic, but more work then we are capable of doing. I was hoping that maybe we could just remove the cushions on the sofa and put a sheet of plywood...

Removing power sofa

We are thinking of removing our power sofa or the cushions on it, and replacing it with a foam bed. Has anyone removed the entire sofa or just the cushions?
How easy/difficult was it?

Re: Have things changed for you? (Class B related)

We like mixing it up. Depending on our "plan" for the day, we might fix a quick breakfast, cold cereal etc, have a big lunch out and save half for later or the next day. Last year we bought a slow...

Re: Macerator pump - Sani con

We had a macerator on our RT when we bought it. DH said he would NEVER go back to a gravity system. We replaced the original with a Sani Con 2 yrs ago. The slinkly hose is great. The extra steps...

Re: Do we need a generator?

Our inverter is located in the same location as the RV converter. An extension cord, with a strip bar of 3 plugs ins, was plugged into the inverter, and the cord is hidden behind the wall and the...

Re: Do we need a generator?

We have a Honda 2000 and used it with a 15' TT. It would run the AC, but you could not run anything else with it. Not a big deal to us. When we wanted to run something else, we just turned the AC...

Re: Winterizing your RV water systems - 20 step thorough met

We will be winterized when we leave, just not with antifreeze. The black/gray tanks and the traps will be filled with antifreeze. We will have a 9-10 hr drive the first day, which will take us out...

Re: Winterizing your RV water systems - 20 step thorough met

We won't be adding antifreeze in our inside tank, it'll be fresh water. We do not want any antifreeze in the lines. This way we can boon dock and still be able to use the shower. We have used the...

Re: Winterizing your RV water systems - 20 step thorough met

With our RT we use approx. 2 gals. We have the pump converter winterizer kit installed and it makes it an easy job to winterize. It takes approximately 3/4 gal to pump thru the lines and the rest...

Re: Antenna to receive WiFi

I would suggest checking into Wilson Antenna. I'm not sure there is an antenna just to receive a WIFI signal, but they do have antenna's to boost cell towers signals. Wilson is highly recommended...

Re: Newbie Full Time (sort of)

kinteka....Congratulations on your GREAT find. It looks in great shape. As far as the frig, the van should be close to level when you are running it, and it will take a whole day for it to cool...

Re: troubleshooting hot water flow

Not sure if this will help, but our sink pressure was slow and causing the water pump to surge. It didn't do it at the shower or toilet. Running it thru the city water hook up, we notice a slower...

puppie96....The best way to "install" the Reflectix is to cut it approx. 1/2" or larger then the window. Then just push it into the window frame. On the lower section of the back side windows, I...

Re: Dogs and Record High Temps

Mike, our AC coils froze up. When the AC wasn't cooling we were fortunate to find someone (highly recommended by the campground) to look at it. By the time we drove to their shop (20 min) it was...

Re: Dogs and Record High Temps

Mike, our back up plan is just that...a back up plan. The odds of the AC, FF and battery failing all at the same time IMO would be rare. It gives us peace of mind knowing that if we loose electric...

Re: Opinions on towing a travel trailer with a truck? Thanks

We were faced with the same questions a few years back, only in reverse. We were pulling a small trailer with a SUV, after pulling pop-ups. Loved the TT, but hated pulling a "box" and backing it...

Re: Roadtrek Introduces the all New N6-Active on new Nissan Van
