2007 Pleasure-Way Lexor roof change

Notice that you don't see the Air conditioner cut away on the top side of the roof as you do here:

Marko, if you were buying a new B with the Chevy chassis, which would you buy right now? RT or PW?

We've not seen a PW in person yet. They seem to be scarce in this part of the country. The only PW dealer close to us is Van City in St. Louis, 375mi. away. No used ones either near by.

The interiors of the PW seem to be a little more upscale than the RT's. Owners seem to be happy with the construction of both brands. We've been told there is more storage in the RT's. We like the RT 190P's that we've looked at interior wise.

We have a sport show coming up this week in Kansas City. We are planning on going, but I doubt there are any of either brand going to be there. None of the dealers listed on their list handle RT or PW.

I don’t know what I’d buy ………………. It must be very hard for anyone to choose between them all.

For stealth, a RT 170 and 190 used to be #1 – now PW with the new Air conditioner profile and new colors a PW Lexor is just as stealthy.

PW doesn’t publish the storage capacity (cubic feet) like Roadtrek does but I think Roadtrek has more storage.

PW has the electric sofa in their Lexor model.

RT has the built in macerator, inverter and greater towing capacity as standard features.

I’m a big RT fan but I would consider all manufacturers. PW would be high on the list.

Does the Lexor have the same winterizing capabilites as the RT 190, which has an interior freshwater holding tank and a valve system to isolate interior water functions?

That Lexor is beautiful. I really like the galley being open to the rear sofa. It makes it less tunnel like and seemingly more spacious.

I don't know. I don't think it does.

The new roof on that Lexor must be an option. There are some 2007 Lexors at Van City that still have the old roof.

I bet the new roofline is just becoming available. The 2007 shown in Van City could be on a 2006 chassis and the one in the picture could be on a 2007 chassis. 2007 come out in Oct/Nov but on older chassis.

Can an Excel update be far off? Makes sense due to one supplier of AC. Carrier is a larger AC supplier and a smaller unit.

Ours is a 2007 Lexor on a 2006 chassis. The pic of the silver one at the top of this topic is our van. Or at least the exact duplicate. Looks like Marco took it from the Van City website where ours came from.
The newer roofline is on the 2007/2007 models. The Lexors that Van City got in after ours had the new roofline. The interior ac setup looks different too. Ours has the controls visible on the front side of the unit, and it's wider.
I noticed that they changed the front seat covers slightly also. Newer ones look nicer than ours do I think.
They also went from a 17" to a 19" HD capable TV in the 2007's.

I guess "better" is in the eyes of the beholder.

Yes I agree it looks better from the outside. I was wondering why it looked better from the inside. I'm hoping they do the same to the Ford Excel to make it lok more streamlined.

Yes it does look better I'll admit. But I don't stare at the roof very much anyway.

For me, it's PleasureWay Excel TS,2006 Silver Annivesary paint job. I liked the RD, but,but, but,,, the aisle in the PW was better when I measured it. It was 27" wide.My cousin (married in-law) has a
Pooper 190 RD (popular) , but to close for us and Princess.

New lexor Roof

The reason for the new roof is for those owners who have home owners associations that have restrictions against motorhomes.

That is what I was told when I was at the factory this summer.
