A member with a 2015 SS Agile asked how long the air conditioner can be expected to run while boondocking on the propane generator, after seeing estimates ranging from 4 to 5 hours up to 30 hours. One member with the same model said sun exposure and A/C demand matter a lot and offered a rough rule of thumb of about 24 hours.

Another member with a 2015 SS reported they could not confirm runtime because their propane generator repeatedly stalls after 30 to 60 minutes despite having propane...

Hello Everyone,

We recently purchased a 2015 SS Agile with a propane generator, and we are wondering how long the air conditioner will run when boon docking. We've seen indications that we can expect to run the air conditioner for only 4 - 5 hours before running out of propane. Can anyone confirm whether this information is correct?

Thanks in advance!

And now I'm seeing run times up to 30 hours! I know it depends on other things drawing on the batteries, but does anyone have any experience that will help as I try to get a more likely time window (between 4 and 30 hours) one can expect the air conditioner to run on a propane generator?

We have a 2015 SS with a propane generator. Unfortunately, I can't answer your question because we have continual problems with the gene stalling after 30-60 minutes. It shuts down and the AC stops even with plenty of propane available. It seems the gene isn't quite large enough to handle the AC load fluctuations. There are several posts online regarding this problem and I haven't found a definite solution yet. Seems to be both gasoline & propane units. I even installed a Soft Start unit to moderate the load but the gene still ends up shutting down. So you may experience issues with long term AC use other than using all the propane.

We have a 2015 ss agile. Direct sun on Van and a/c matters a lot. A rule of thumb i would say 24 hours.
