I have a 2008 Popular on Chevy Express 3500 . I would like to use my IPhone 11 that can use Car Play apps. I am thinking RV Life Pro GPS and the rest. I see Amazon sells screens that claim to interface with Car Play and the IPhone does any use such a screen?

I recently updated (Sprinter) my head unit to Android radio. It can connect with Car PLay and Android Auto which I use. Total cost about $100, Android 14

Getting a specific unit for your van will ease installation of mounting and wiring, just plug and play. Mine came with a bezel designed for my year Sprinter with a wire harness for full connection.

Well a big zero. All the Carplay screens for the Apple IPhone have Wired back up Cameras and they go to great trouble to hide that from you. I may go another route, thanks to all that replied.

I don't quite understand. If you're not looking for a Carplay screen that has backup camera capability, can't you just not wire it up; so it's ignored? Usually a screen is taken over by the backup camera when it gets a signal from the camera. Or are you looking for a Carplay screen that responds to a wireless backup camera.

Yes but its not really available. I have a wireless one now with a small screen and I want to use the RV Life suite on CarPlay that has includes the special GPS for RVs, I do not want 2 or more screens to monitor when driving.
But I found a wireless camera that works with Apple so I will try to use that.

Running wires in a 22 foot motorhome like the Road Trek, taking the door panel off and Etc. is something I don't want to do.

I ask because I'm also looking. Can you tell me what camera you found?
This only feeds over WiFi to either an Android or Apple phone . I am then going to have it feed to my Carplay screen but this is just experimental for now. I was not going to try to remove my door panel, tie into the existing back up light and the feed the whole darn thing around and under clear up to the console dash area. Zero none of the systems on the market include the wireless camera but pretend you don't notice its wired! Important note this will exist as a APP on your phone and has to be accessed when you want to use... even if your Not backing up! But I need to try all this out so don't jump in right now.

I sent the one I had back and ordered one without the camera and it works ok, but now I need to test with RV Life App & GPS and my IPhone.

We bought this unit, and it works great, in part because the stereo supports bluetooth. We didn't bother installing the backup camera.

Ok I have my Carplay screen hooked up but besides BT it wants my phone to connect to its WiFi so now no Internet! Kinds of defeats the purpose of the GPS. Does anyone else have that issue? Ok solution do not let it connect via WiFi just BT only and phone can use Cellular and then BT to the CarPlay screen.
